Dublin Ranch Christmas Tree Pickup. PDF Print E-mail

We’ve had a lot of Dublin Ranch residents asking us what they can do with their Christmas trees to dispose of them. In case you may have missed or forgotten about the tree pickup done by the Boy Scouts, you’re not alone -- it was this past Saturday, January 3. All is not lost, however!

Owners of Dublin Ranch homes, condos and townhomes can set their tree out by the curb this coming Friday, January 9 and it will be picked up by Amador Valley -- our local trash and recycling company. They are sending a special truck that is designed for recycling our trees.

The only down-side to having Amador Valley pick up your tree is that they want it cut down to four-foot sections (which for most trees basically means it needs to be cut in half…).  They also do not recycle flocked trees or trees with tinsel on them.

Feel free to contact them by calling them at 925.479.9545 or by emailing them at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

What a wild ride!  Dublin Ranch residents have definitely seen a lot of changes, both in our community and in our real estate market this year. While all of us have had our own challenges and circumstances we've had to face, here at Dublin Ranch Lifestyle we recognize there is a lot about which we can be excited with the coming New Year.

We live in a thriving, beautiful community, and we are so fortunate to call Dublin Ranch home. If we haven't had the opportunity to connect with you personally, we look forward to doing so. We are excited to be able to help you in your real estate goals in any way we can.  Happy 2009!

New Construction: Why You Need an Agent to Help You (Part 3 of 3). PDF Print E-mail

Buying a house from a builder seems simple -- you show up, sign in, view the model, pick out your lot and upgrades, and sign. “Why do I need an agent for that?” I hear you asking... Read on, my friend.

So far, we’ve talked in Parts 1 and 2 about how an agent can help you review, and will draw your attention to, anomalies in the builder’s agreement and how he or she can help you save money by helping you avoid fees and costs that aren’t typically paid by a buyer in our area. In Part 3 we’re going to talk about the biggest reason to hire an agent to help you -- their services will save you money and, for you, they are free!

This was not the case in the raging real estate market of the mid-2000’s but, at this point, every builder selling homes in Dublin Ranch will compensate your agent for bringing you to their development. They are doing this for one reason only -- they need help getting their homes sold; they no longer have the seller’s market advantage and that’s good news for you.

If you have been considering purchasing a home in Dublin Ranch, now is a great time to buy. After several months of falling inventories which suggested we were trending toward a seller’s market. Now our market has trended strongly back toward a buyers market.

In real estate, “Months of Inventory” is a measurement used to determine the “velocity” of the the market.  The measurement is made by taking the number of homes on the market in a given month and dividing it by the number of homes that sold in that same month.  This information tells us whether the market favors buyers or sellers, and how strongly it does so.
